Ugly Betty 《丑女贝蒂》英语观后感

    "There is just so much that I want to experience before I settle into a relationship for my life, for my career. I have to take this opportunity and find out who I am by myself. I don't know what I'm gonna find, but I know where I can start--the place I always dream of going."
   
    Above is my favorate sentence in Ugly Betty. When I heard the words, it hit me.

    I do not want to go to any meaningless blind dates; I'm tired of the elusive relationships. When I was over with all the frustrative relationships, I just feel free. I was happier. Have time to do things I'm really into, I know I have authentically waved goodbye to the past. I have moved on.

    Loneliness is something we all know too well. Awake alone at night, gazing out the window, we feel it; having a conversation with our boyfriend or girlfriend,just finding his/her feeling so far below the surface,we feel it. We'd always been going through life, like with a sense of lack. Then you desperately want to catch something to fill the hollow in our hearts. And the truth is that we are not going to feel whole until we learned to love ourselves.

    Maybe we did something regrettable, however a mistake isn't actually a failure unless we don't learn from it and unless you don't grow. We need to forgive ourselves and forget the past.
   
    We may fall in love with someone in the future. But the difference is that now we know the first we should love and take good care of is ourselves. To love ourselves means to have and to hold yourself. It means that we love ourselves the way we love someone and the way we want someone to love us.
